The frequency of military and security events decreased in May. This
was due to a decrease in the frequency of bombings and air raids by the army of the Syrian regime and the Russian forces in addition to a decrease in the frequency of ISIS attacks. However, the frequency of clashes, infiltrations and shelling episodes increased between factions of the National Army of the Syrian opposition and the Kurdish militias without causing any change in the map of the areas of influence.
